KITCHEN MISADVENTURE SERIES 49 - GARLIC CHICKEN WITH MUSHROOMS

Today, for the kids baon I borrowed a recipe from Dennis’ Lutong Bahay blog which he titled Garlic chicken with mushrooms. I marinated the chicken last night in just salt and pepper. Then when I awoke today, I fried some garlic in oil, and then reserved it for later. After that, I melted some butter and fried the chicken till it was just cooked through. After that, I placed the mushroom and the water in the mushrooms and let the dish boil for about 15 minutes. At first, I thought the dish looked dull and colorless and even lacked a bit of salt and so I added more salt. But there was still something lacking – some kind of zing to the dish. Until finally, when it was cooked and I garnished it with the roasted garlic, the dish totally changed! Truly amazing what garlic can do to spice up an otherwise bland dish! Thank you Dennis for this recipe!
