KITCHEN MISADVENTURE SERIES 44: TURBO CHICKEN IN LEMON AND PEPPER MARINADE



Here’s another easy dish because I cheated a little and used a ready-to-use marinade from McCormick, particularly the Lemon and Pepper Marinade. So all I really did when I bought the chicken thighs yesterday morning was marinate them in the mixture, let the chicken stay in the fridge overnight so that the next day when I pop them in the turbo oven all the flavors would be incorporated. But sad to say even if I marinated the chicken overnight the flavors still did not penetrate past the skin. In fact, only the chicken skin was a bit salty and sour and the flesh still quite juicy but tasted bland. Well, next time maybe I guess I needed to make some grooves or cuts in the chicken so that the marinade can penetrate. Anyway, here are pics of the cooked chicken.
