For today’s lunch/baon, I cooked another recipe using hoisin sauce and this time I got it from Dennis’ Lutong Bahay blog. It’s another really easy and time-saving recipe since I just marinated the chicken fillet overnight in salt, pepper and calamansi juice. Then, the next morning, I fried the chicken pieces by batches with a little oil in a non-stick pan then I added the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and a bit of sugar. You may add more salt or pepper, if needed. Then I took the pan off the fire, added the sesame oil and it is done! The original recipe called for the addition of sesame seeds and onion leaves but I didn't have both in my pantry - but it still tasted delicious!
