FIRST TIME TO SLEEP IN OUR NEW HOUSE
I woke up early today and was surprised to see unfamiliar surroundings…I gathered my thoughts and started to remember that we are now in our new house…and it’s actually my first time to sleep here. And did I sleep well? Not really…because I was not used to hearing all the noise in the streets…you see the house we moved into was just behind the store and so we hear all sorts of things like the trikes and motorcycles revving up, the big trucks and buses plying the route each morning…I guess the fact too that the second floor still doesn’t have windows added much to the noise. Well, maybe when the windows and ceiling are installed and the walls finished and painted, the noise outside will be lessened…I hope!
Since the old house (of Inang/and now Allan’s) will now start building, all three families (ours, Allan’s and Lona’s) are living here in our house despite the fact that it is still yet to be completed… It’s OK, we’re here naman only twice a month and with our funds already depleted, we intend to continue the finishing touches maybe by mid-year (June or July). Meanwhile, we’ll have to make do with what space and living conditions we have…I am just glad that now we’re all moving closer to achieving our very own dream homes…some place we could call our very own. Here’s a pic of the old homestead…so sad to see it all torn down… but we all have to move on and it’s gonna change for the better anyway so this kind of change is a good thing.
