Today, I used another flavorful recipe from Pinoycook’s Home Cooking Rocks – Orange Chicken since my son likes the flavors of saucy dishes like this and so I embarked on another adventure/trial for my kids’ baon this morning. If you need the recipe, just search for it at the cooking site mentioned above. The first thing I did was fry the chicken in batches over smoking hot oil. Then, I made the orange sauce using real oranges but since I didn’t have lemon I substituted calamansi instead. Well, my dish turned a tad sour but I guess I didn’t know how to convert the lemon to calamansi so I guess I’d be using a bit less the next time. Still and all, the dish itself was a success! The kids loved it, and even the hubby liked it coz I reserved some for our lunch/baon to the office.
