My birthday today…and yet I am going to work…but that’s alright. I am not even making any fuss over the fact that we’d just be having a simple birthday dinner tonight of chicken, spaghetti and cake…or that I have received no gifts …because guess what??? I gave myself the COOLEST GIFT OF ALL!!! Because today I just booked for myself a trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan! Hurrah! Hurrah! This is because next week, Jun and Ymas would be attending a seminar in Palawan and what better way to celebrate my birthday than to join him there!!! And so I did…using money from my 'hidden' account, I withdrew enough to cover my plane fare and pocket money to spend there so that Jun and I can enjoy and explore the sights…ohh, I am so excited!
Mama also gave me some allowance money…a loan actually, which I could pay bit by bit (hehehe) and she also treated me to a birthday lunch at Kitaro, a Japanese resto near V. Luna Road. Then, at around snack time my boss gave a treat for us with Kowloon snacks for everyone. Add that to the weekend Tagaytay get-away which my father hosted for me and invited many of our relatives. So I guess with that much benefactors, my birthday did not really turn out so simple after all…
